Casino Data Imaging (CDI)

George Levine, director of sales and marketing for Casino Data Imaging (CDI), was happy to show CEM the company’s latest products and explain its recent initiatives. “Our goal is to provide meaningful and actionable information to end users,” Levine said. “It’s all about the customer.”

This year, CDI presented the latest version of its GlobalSuite™ (GS) advanced visualization and analysis technology, including an expansion of the GS control center visual portals. An excellent tool for providing the information needed to evaluate performance at a casino, the GS can assist stakeholders in carrying out their responsibilities, and CDI trains them on exactly what tools they need to use. Levine explained that the training is a process, and CDI continues to teach and assist employees long after the initial training. “We want to be sure we optimize the potential of the program for casinos,” he said.

With customer feedback from installations done over the past 12 months, CDI has made significant advancements to GS, adding modules that can complement big enterprise systems at large companies and adding a visual center and visual portals that made the product more user-friendly. A quick tutorial shows just how easy it would be for a casino employee to evaluate and analyze products on the floor. One can view performance based on brand, denomination and types of titles, and this is only the tip of the iceberg. “We are loving the reactions from customers when we show them changes that have been made since last year,” Levine said with a smile.

Also on display was the latest version of the iGuide™ Wayfinder system, an intuitive and easy-to-use wayfinder map that makes it simple for casino patrons to make it through a maze of machines. Levine confirms that the feedback for this product has also been great. “We rely on feedback to shape our tools,” he said. “It is a big component of how CDI creates its products. We aim to continuously ensure we are on track with our product development paths by carrying out reviews and adjustments in keeping with customer and market requirements.”

Leap Forward Gaming (LFG)
G2E 2013 went extremely well for Leap Forward Gaming (LFG), said Ali Saffari, founder and CEO of Leap Forward Gaming.

“We had a huge response from multiple properties and manufacturers,” he said. “The technology is dramatically unique, and manufacturers and operators alike are very much interested.”

Leap Forward Gaming’s SaffariNet® promises to revolutionize how gaming devices, peripherals, wide-area progressives (WAPs), player-tracking systems, mobile devices and server-based systems communicate wirelessly and interact across casino floors, Saffari said.

Leap Forward’s message was clear: “Our system coexists with anybody’s player tracking, anybody’s machine or any other software and applications,” he said. “We can agnostically co-exist and bring value to the operators. This is the whole enchilada.”

The company showcased its SaffariNet multimedia ecosystem. Patron Display Interface™ (PDI) is LFG’s scalable, low-cost, turn-key picture-in-picture solution designed to work seamlessly with all brands and generations of gaming machines and systems to develop, dynamically manage and present content to players. LFG’s PDI offers targeted marketing and bonusing campaigns, progressives and seamlessly integrates with multiple player tracking and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

As part of the patented SaffariNet ecosystem, PDI agnostically provides operators with high flexibility, and agile content production and implementation using web-based technologies. LFG’s Thin Client Gaming (TCG™) platform is an extension of the SaffariNet multimedia ecosystem to create end-to-end thin client content delivery of games.

NEWave
At this year’s G2E, NEWave introduced a new generation of software that will change the way casinos do business across the entire operation. The company was promoting several software solutions, including Audit Manager and myData Manager™.

The new Audit Manager is incredibly versatile, allowing casinos to perform any type of audit for any type of department. The software also creates electronic, paperless reports so it saves properties time, money and additional resources.

Another NEWave software solution introduced at G2E was myData Manager, which allows top-level management to easily and electronically find the data they want and view it in a user-friendly manner. Clair Rogers, senior vice president of sales, said “it focuses on business intelligence, but on a different side of the traditional framework, so rather than marketing we are looking at things such as auto-populating financials.”

Not only are these solutions electronic and paperless, but they are also licensed per site, not per user, ultimately providing properties with more cost-saving solutions.

As a veteran of G2E, Rogers was very pleased with this year’s overall feel from exhibitors and guests. Since he first started attending the expo, “the show has grown tremendously: a lot more players on the slot side and a lot of smaller companies are popping up because we have so much opportunity.”
