Former Harrah’s Executive John Ranere Joins SugarHouse Team
Philadelphia—February 3, 2011—SugarHouse Casino recently announced the hiring of Vice President of Casino Marketing and VIP Operations, John Ranere.
In this role, Ranere will directly manage all aspects of the casino’s engagement with its top-tier customers. Among other responsibilities, he will oversee the casino host team, high limit rooms and players’ lounge.
Ranere joins the SugarHouse team from his previous position as Vice President of Casino Marketing for Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. There, Ranere developed and implemented strategic marketing plans and ensured that his team provided VIP guests with a positive entertainment and service experience.

Prior to joining Bally’s, Ranere worked with Harrah’s Marina, starting as a games dealer. He worked his way up the ranks, serving in such positions as Casino Games Supervisor, Credit Manager, Director of Player Services and Director of Casino Marketing. Ranere eventually became Vice President of Marketing for both the Harrah’s business and its newly acquired property at the time, Showboat Casino, where he also was successful in developing and executing opening plans for the House of Blues in Atlantic City.
