INTRALOT announces the successful completion and launch of www.starcasino.it, on behalf of Betsson, a Swedish company listed on the Stockholm stock exchange, following the agreement for collaboration to support Betsson’s online operations in the Italian market. The agreement comprises the provision of INTRALOT Interactive Gaming Platform, the adaptation of the customer facing gaming portal, as well as the software and system infrastructure for Sogei connectivity.

Betsson has signed an agreement aimed at entering into a Joint Venture together with G.Matica Srl in Italy. G.Matica is the gaming division of Alma Viva, one of the largest IT companies in Italy, with over 20 000 employees. G.Matica holds an online gaming license on the Italian market and operates online today through its site Gbet.it. The Joint Venture shall further develop the online business within the Italian market.

Betsson was awarded the price Socially Responsible Operator 2009 at the annual EGR Awards ceremony which is considered the Oscars Gala of online gaming. The ceremony, which was arranged by eGaming Review, was held in London on the 30th of November.
