When Dennis Conrad, founder, president and chief strategist of Raving Consulting Company, sat down to pen his second book, Conrad on Casino Marketing, he couldn't imagine the hype it would generate once it was released. Now the book is being hailed as a crucial tool for casino marketers, operational professionals, general managers and just about everyone else with involvement in the gaming industry. Culled together from dozens of articles and columns Conrad has written for Casino Journal and Native American Casino magazines in the last several years, Conrad on Casino Marketing covers a wide variety of casino-related topics, ranging from marketing to operations to customer service to philanthropy and regulatory issues. His humorous, yet no-nonsense approach to his columns and articles have earned him high praise from the gaming industry. KICTeam—Adhesive Remover Swab
An adhesive remover swab is being released by KICTeam. This swab is combined with an adhesive remover solution to ease the removal of sticky adhesive residue from hard surfaces. The product will come enclosed in a foil pouch and the swab will be saturated with the adhesive remover solution. The swab was designed especially for use on thermal printers, which incur adhesive build up from regular use during label printing. The increase of linerless labels has heightened the demand for an efficient adhesive remover product. This new Adhesive Remover Swab has been tested and demonstrated to be more effective than current methods and products. "We are seeing more linerless labels in a number of industries. When these labels pass over a hot thermal printer, some residue is transferred to the print head. The removal this adhesive residue is essential to maintaining a clear and crisp print on thermal printers in any industry. At KICTeam we pride ourselves on the solving of problems like these for our OEM partners," said Debra Ross, product manager of KICTeam. The adhesive removal swab is a quick and efficient means of removing adhesives and maintaining print integrity. For more information, visit www.cleaningcards.com or www.kicteam.com.

RAMPBOSS—Vehicle Display V3
An innovative automotive display ramp system originally manufactured for car dealers is starting to get attention among casino operators who give away promotional vehicles as prizes. The latest iteration of this remarkably attractive product, the V3, was introduced last fall at Northwood University's International Auto Show in Midland, Mich.  RAMPBOSS President Todd Stoney said he's elated to deliver his 50th display recently.  "We have a few casinos utilizing our system in different ways, which speaks to the versatility of our product," Stoney said. RAMPBOSS displays were designed to replace aging angle-iron ramps that must be surrounded by slot machines, or plants, to disguise their erector set appearance, which can diminish the visual potential for the prize. All RAMPBOSS displays are entirely hand operated and capable of positioning vehicles up to 13,000 pounds.V2 and V3 models come with an exclusive lifetime rust-proof guarantee, painted gunmetal gray to retain the polished diamond plate facades of their smallest sibling for an eye-catching two-tone look. RAMPBOSS-USA has garnered worldwide exposure when General Motors purchased two V1s for use at Super Bowl XL in Detroit, then at Super Bowl XLI in Miami at a Sports Illustrated party sponsored by Cadillac. A standard V1 display was chosen for use at two NASCAR events, one inside the atrium of the National Corvette Museum, and two inside the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Teodore Minea, facilities manager at Edgewater Casino in Vancouver, British Columbia, said: "For the effort of twisting a pair of turnbuckles to operate the system, nothing on the market offers this much presentation value. We regularly give away high-line vehicles during our promotions, and the aesthetics of the RAMPBOSS becomes the focal point no matter where we use it."
