Independent Testing Laboratory eclipse Compliance Testing, a division of Nick Farley & Associates, Inc. (NFA), announced that new team member Oscar Schuyler has been honored with the Bruce Longhorn Award for Excellence in Regulation from the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA). NIGA Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. was on hand to present the distinguished award to Schuyler at the recent National Tribal Gaming Commissioners/Regulators (NTGC/R) Fall Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The award commemorates one of the champions behind forming NIGA and its mission. Mr. Longhorn was known for his honesty, fairness and integrity. This renowned award is given annually by NIGA to an individual who exhibits these key attributes.
Oscar Schuyler, an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin and former Vice Chairman of the Oneida Gaming Commission, also served as the Vice Chairman of the National Tribal Gaming Regulators/Commissioner. “This is truly an honor”, comments Mr. Schuyler. “I really do not have the words to express my gratitude and appreciation to those involved in the decision process. It was totally unexpected”.
In announcing the award Chairman Stevens recognized Mr. Schuyler’s extensive experience in gaming stemming from twenty plus years in gaming, and his dedication to the regulation of gaming over the past ten years with the Oneida Nation Gaming Commission. Chairman Stevens stated “Mr. Schuyler’s dedication and commitment to gaming regulation exemplifies the attributes for which the Bruce Longhorn Memorial Award is given”.
