MESCALERO, N.M. (August 16, 2010) – Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino announced today that Scott Eldredge has been tapped to serve as chief operating officer for the Inn and its subsidiary enterprises. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the gaming, marketing and hospitality industries, Eldredge joins the Inn after serving most recently as the Corporate Vice President of Marketing for Cherokee Nation Entertainment’s eight casinos in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

“As the new COO of the Inn and its associated properties, I am committed to ensuring the achievement of long-range goals both for the Tribe and the community by reinvesting in the growth and development of the entire enterprise,” remarked Eldredge. “The Inn plays such a vital role in the local and regional communities and I look forward to working with the incredible staff at the Inn to maintain its position as a leader in the entertainment and gaming industry.”

Through working with the resort’s senior management team, Eldredge is responsible for setting and defining the strategic direction of all Mescalero Apache gaming and hospitality entities. In addition to also overseeing the financial activities of the resort and casino, Eldredge also interfaces with all aspects of the operation to create a first-class customer experience.

Having worked at properties throughout the Southwest, Eldredge brings to the table 19 years experience in the gaming and hospitality industries including work with Santa Ana Star Casino, Golden Gaming and Silverton Lodge & Casino Resort. Eldredge holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, cum laude, from New Mexico Highlands University as well as a certification from the Casino Management Association.

“Scott not only brings an extensive background in gaming, executive leadership and successful property management to the Inn, but also a business philosophy based on teamwork and empowerment,” said Mark Chino, president of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.  “As the second largest employer in Otero County, we play a critical role in the local economy and community, and Scott’s breadth of experience and knowledge will help ensure the Inn remains at the top as one of the premier entertainment destinations in the Southwest.”
