April 2010 — Building on the firm’s past successes in the realm of integrated interior architecture, Hnedak Bobo Group (HBG) has hired architect Kevin Canes, AIA, and interior designer Carol Rexhouse to complement and enhance the firm’s nationally-recognized hospitality and entertainment design specialization. Both Canes and Rexhouse are highly experienced and creative professionals who have worked on high profile hospitality and entertainment industry projects domestically and internationally.

Kevin Canes, AIA, joins HBG as a Senior Associate in the new role of Senior Interior Architect, leading the design efforts for many of HBG’s gaming projects. A native of South Africa, Kevin brings three decades of experience in the hospitality and entertainment design field. He spent the last seven years as a Senior Designer with MGM Mirage Design Group leading master planning, design and brand refurbishments of projects on the Las Vegas strip, including recent work at New York New York, Treasure Island, and Bellagio.
Carol Rexhouse is focusing her eff orts at HBG on interior production and documentation of the fi rm’s hospitality/entertainment projects. Carol’s wealth of interiors experience was built from 18 years at leading hospitality/entertainment design firms in Las Vegas and Connecticut. She spent the last year prior to joining HBG as the Construction Site Supervisor for the 1800-seat Viva ELVIS™ by Cirque du Soleil® theater at MGM’s CityCenter in Las Vegas.
