-Industry Experts Offer Unique Insights on Gaming in Indian Country
LAS VEGAS - Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will introduce a G2E Webinar Series - three live, interactive Webinar events where leading gaming experts will discuss the potential impact of iGaming on Indian Country, financing and lending for tribal casinos, and recent court decisions that could affect Indian gaming operations. The Webinars, which will be held monthly beginning in August, will be 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute question and answer session for participants.
"Tribal gaming has been an area of incredible growth in recent years, and these G2E Webinars will examine closely developments that may have a significant impact on gaming operations in Indian Country," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association (AGA). "This three-part series will provide valuable information from leading experts on potential opportunities and challenges for this segment of the industry."
After each event, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to confirm their continuing professional education within the gaming industry.
"These Webinars are an extension of the educational opportunities G2E provides through its family of events," said Courtney Muller, senior vice president at Reed Exhibitions, which co-organizes G2E with the AGA. "Through G2E Webinars, we are committed to offering high-quality content for gaming professionals to help them succeed by enhancing their knowledge of topics they may not have been familiar with otherwise."

With the Supreme Court case Carcieri v. Salazar, the future of land into trust has been thrown into confusion. This summer, nearly a year after the Bureau of Indian Affairs' final consultation meeting with leaders of the tribal and federal government, a decision about the case's impact is set to be announced. But this is not the only Court decision impacting Indian Country and tribal gaming. Recently, a federal court in California ruled that the State of California had negotiated a gaming compact in bad faith with the Rincon Band of Mission Indians. Learn how the fallout from these two cases are affecting Tribal Reservations and gaming operations.
