Casino Expert Brings Comprehensive Marketing Background to Executive Team
MASHANTUCKET, CT (August 23, 2010) – Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises today announced that Steve Karoul has joined the organization as Vice President of Casino Marketing.
In this role, Karoul will plan and implement promotional programs designed to attract large groups of new and existing customers to the property, and will manage special events and activities. Karoul will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Karoul brings to Foxwoods more than 30 years experience in the casino industry, including seven previous years as Vice President of Casino Marketing at Foxwoods, a role he held from 1999 to 2006. Most recently, Karoul was Senior Vice President of Strategic Casino Marketing for the Las Vegas Sands Corp. In this position, he was responsible for getting the new Marina Bay Sands Casino in Singapore, one of the world's largest and most expensive casinos, staffed and organized for opening.
Karoul's extensive experience in the resort casino industry also includes roles as President and CEO of the Ciragan Palace Casino in Istanbul, Turkey; Vice President of International Casino Marketing at Caesar's World in Las Vegas; and Executive Director of International Marketing for Sun City Casino in South Africa. Karoul has worked around the world on various casino related consulting projects including the prestigious Ritz Club in London. Karoul is both a renown lecturer and an author who has published numerous articles over the years on Casino Marketing.
