Top Ten Products Represent the Most Outstanding Solutions for Slot Operations in 2009

FARGO, N.D. (April 27, 2009)—Casino Enterprise Management magazine, a leading gaming industry trade publication and training event producer, as well as the “Official Publication” of the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), is pleased to announce the winners of its 2009 Slot Floor Technology Awards, now in its third year. “We are honored to award these outstanding manufacturing companies for their incredible ingenuity creating these products,” said Peter Mead, Publisher of Casino Enterprise Management. “There is no doubt that each product will bring more efficiency, greater innovation and larger profits for all slot operators who choose to employ them on their floors. It takes millions of dollars and years of research and development to craft these products into what they are today, and it is our belief that the manufacturers who dedicate themselves to this work should be honored, and we are happy to do just that.”

A select panel of six slot floor operators who use and apply gaming technologies every day carefully chose the winning products—the most innovative in all areas of the slot floor. Those panel members were: Buddy Frank, Vice President of Slot Operations, Pechanga Resort & Casino; Chuck Hickey, Director of Slot Operations, Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino; Ralph Margolis, Director of Slot Operations, Mystic Lake Casino & Resort; Ryan Tors, Director of Slot Operations, Peppermill Resort Casino Reno; Paul Tjoumakaris, Corporate Vice President of Gaming Operations, Seminole Hard Rock; and Philip Trofibio, Vice President of Slot Operations, MotorCity Casino. Each nomination was judged on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) for innovation, performance, ease of use, benefits, efficiency, capabilities, advancement, profitability and convenience.
