Application filed with Nevada Gaming Control Board
Las Vegas, NV – March 5, 2012 – 777 Management, an affiliate of 777 Gaming, announces its intention to assume the gaming operations at Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa, located at 160 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, just off Las Vegas Boulevard.
An application for a non-restricted gaming license has been filed with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The 18,000 square foot Casuarina Casino currently features 262 slot machines and 8 table games including Craps, Roulette, Blackjack and Three Card Poker. Hotel operations will remain under current management.
“We are thrilled by the opportunity to manage the Casuarina Casino at the Westin property,” said Rory Bedore, Chief Executive Officer of 777 Management and 777 Gaming. “We see this casino as a great fit for our expertise.”
Taking over gaming operations at the Westin would mark the group’s first casino management agreement in Las Vegas and seventh in Nevada. The Las Vegas based team has built a reputation for turning around underperforming properties, having successfully managed casinos in Elko, Winnemucca, Hawthorne and Spring Creek in 2010.
777 Gaming recently became a hotel/casino owner, purchasing the Best Western Carson Station Hotel/Casino in Carson City, Nevada in July 2011. Renovations to Carson Station include remodeling of the guest rooms, the casino floor and other amenities.
