Sanyo Security Video's new high performance digital security recorder, DSR-M804, records events in real time and can display the video images from four cameras on a four-screen display. Applications include casinos where automatic switching of the four-screen display can be used so the operator can view the image as part of the multi-screen or as a full screen image. The switching is user-selectable, between automatic and manual. At 30fps, the DSR-M804 produces clear, high resolution images 24 hours a day, from one week up to four weeks of recording. The unit also boasts simultaneous record and playback capability as well as a mirroring function. The DSR-M804 incorporates a 120GB hard drive, which stores up to two weeks (or 336 hours) of nonstop recording. An expansion bay allows another 120GB hard drive to be installed for a total of 240GB for four weeks (672 hours) of recording. The recorder uses MPEG2 Video Compression method.
