A graduate of California State University at Long Beach, with a degree in Criminal Justice, he previously held the position of Compliance Manager for the San Pasqual Tribal Gaming Commission. Mr.. Smith also served as Compliance Manager for the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission and on the Buena Park Police Department for nine years as a Police Officer and Detective.
