09/13/2006 - FLORIDA WOMAN HITS THE JACKPOT; WINS A NEW CAR AND $1,000 PLAYING SLOTS AT FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO

Sharon Lamont Stevens of Lake Worth, FL recently hit the jackpot after only five minutes of play at Foxwoods Resort Casino, taking home a 2006 BMW Z-4 red convertible and $1,000 in cash.

"I had seen the car the previous day and thought I really love that car, I wish I could win it," said Stevens. "I put in 80 credits and after I won, I still had 67 left!"

Sharon visits her mother in Cape Cod during the summer months and was visiting Foxwoods for the third time since August when luck struck.

Sharon has always loved Foxwoods and says it makes her think of Disney World back in Florida. "It reminds me of Cinderella's Castle when I drive up the hill. It is just so pretty when it's all lit up."

Saturday was not the first time luck found Stevens. In 1997, while gambling at the slot machines for the first time in Las Vegas, she won $10,000.

"Before I ever put a quarter in a slot machine, I thought it was impossible to win at these things. Guess I was wrong."
