| 01/07/2004 - Casino Using Outside Managment Group Oklahoma (Indian gaming) - Sam Lewin, Native American Times - The Muscogee Creek Nation’s planned casino in Oklahoma will be the largest Indian gaming operation in the state fronted by an outside management group. The tribe said in July that they are planning to build a massive, multi-million dollar entertainment and gaming center on Tulsa’s Riverfront Drive. The site will replace the tribe’s current gaming facility at the same location. The tribe has partnered with a Houston-based company to build the casino, the Daily Oklahoman reported Sunday. In return, Nevada Gold will get 12 percent of the operation’s proceeds. An analyst estimated that the casino could generate $36.7 million after expenses in its first year and $47 million in its fifth year. Muscogee Creek Principal Chief Perry Beaver told the paper that Nevada Gold initially wanted 28 percent of the profits, but that number was whittled down to 12 percent after negotiations.
