Boyd Gaming Announces Opening Date for New Blue Chip Casino

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) today announced that Blue Chip Casino Hotel in Michigan City, Indiana is expected to open its spacious new casino vessel to the public on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, pending final regulatory approvals. The current Blue Chip vessel is scheduled to close on January 28 at 1 a.m. following which the Company will move the new larger casino into place for an opening the morning of January 31.
