Bettina Corporation (dba Blue Dog, Inc.), manufacturers of the electronic bingo equipment known as Bingo Magic 2000, Blue Boy, Classic Blue, Big Dog, and Top Dog is pleased to announce the immediate appointment of Steve Smallman as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Smallman has over six years of experience in the electronic bingo industry, beginning with Bingo Technologies Corporation (BTC) of Stateline, Nevada in 1997. With BTC, Mr. Smallman helped launch the electronic bingo revolution. As the head of Marketing and Customer Service, he helped grow BTC’s annual revenues from $4 million to $16 million by early 1999. In 1999, Mr. Smallman joined GameTech International (GTI) of Reno, Nevada as part of their acquisition of BTC, and helped the combined companies grow to $50 million in annual sales. He held several Vice Presidential titles at GTI, overseeing both operational and strategic planning functions including distributor and sales management, competition and market analysis, and mergers and acquisitions opportunities.

Mr. Smallman has been called upon to speak at numerous trade shows and industry conventions on topics including marketing, player tracking, and the proper introduction of electronics and market mix in bingo halls and casinos. He also serves on the editorial advisory board of an industry trade publication and is part of a group of industry members that is forming a trade association designed to promote the bingo industry.

Prior to entering the bingo industry, Mr. Smallman held strategic management positions in the industrial cleaning products industry and was the general manager of a wholesale distributor of commercial flooring products. He started his first company at the age of 13 selling collectors’ books and magazines via mail order.

Mr. Smallman graduated from the University of Washington in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and Finance Emphasis). He is married and has two children. Mr. Smallman has been active in his local community as a volunteer youth baseball and soccer coach.

Mr. Smallman will utilize his extensive background to serve Blue Dog in all of their operational sales and marketing needs and be instrumental in developing long-term strategic plans for the company.
