Scan Technology, Inc. announced the release of the Model 2000PMB-3 Age Verifier™, an electronic device capable of reading state driver’s licenses and other identification cards.
“Casinos using the Age Verifier will be able to swipe the magstripe or scan the barcode on the license, and instantly determine whether the holder is old enough to purchase age-restricted products, such as alcohol and tobacco. In addition, it allows users to store the scanned data in a log file, so that the collected information may be downloaded to a PC, and used in any lawful application,” according to Steve Flowers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
