| 03/25/2004 - Mikohn Awarded Additional TableLink Chip Tracking Contracts
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2004--Mikohn Gaming Corporation (Nasdaq:MIKN), a leading provider of diversified products and services used in the gaming industry worldwide, announced today that its innovative TableLink(TM) CT automated chip tracking system has been chosen by Grand Casinos for their Hinckley and Mille Lacs properties located in Minnesota.
TableLink CT, a component of Mikohn's TableLink suite of products, allows casinos to automate the tracking of player activity, game action and table games accounting through the use of patented casino chips embedded with RFID microchips. In addition to the ability to track all player bets, create drop forecasts and validate redeemed chips in real time, this sophisticated technology also protects against counterfeit game chips.
Russ McMeekin, President and Chief Executive Officer commented, "These additional contracts for our TableLink CT product confirm the industry's growing acceptance of table tracking technology. Our TableLink suite of products with its tiered format, ease of installation and upgradeability, provide operators with a fully integrated table management solution."
In addition to the contracts awarded above, earlier this year Grand Casino Coushatta completed an expansion of their system, and now have a total of 71 of their 82 tables utilizing TableLink CT technology.
