DT Productions, supplier of digital music and video to the jukebox and retail industries, is supplying video content to the six P&O; ferries traveling from Dover to Calais. The jukeboxes, which are operated by Astral Marine, had to be specially adapted to withstand rough weather – up to a Force 9 gale!
However, despite the conditions at sea, the cashbox in the jukeboxes over the last three years has been on average 200 per cent more than in a standard video jukebox site. The boxes boast 42ins. Plasma screens from Thompson and BOSE speakers.
