Tropicana Entertainment has named Phil Fortino Vice President and head of human resources. Fortino, who until recently owned and managed Global Work/Life Solutions, a human resources consulting firm, will report to CEO Scott C. Butera.

Tropicana Entertainment will introduce an enhanced player loyalty program, TROP ADVANTAGE, on August 1 at its Tropicana Laughlin and River Palms Casinos. The program will kick-off with a concert featuring David Cassidy at the Tropicana Laughlin on July 31 and chances to roll for a $1.0 million payday during the months of August and September at both casinos.

Tropicana Entertainment today formally announced that Jeff Michie has been named General Manager of its Horizon Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Michie is a 20-year veteran of the gaming industry. For the past five years he has been with Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Indiana where he was named assistant general manager in 2007 with responsibility for finance, marketing, casino operations, information technology and security.

Tropicana Entertainment is pleased to announce the appointment of Ward Shaw to the General Manager position at Casino Aztar. Shaw will start his career with Casino Aztar on June 21, 2010, pending regulatory approvals. He will be assuming the position from Grady Aitken, who has successfully served as Casino Aztar's Interim General Manager since January 2010.

David Zamarin has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Tropicana Entertainment, LLC responsible for developing the corporate marketing function. From 2002-2008, Zamarin was head of corporate marketing at Penn National Gaming.
