Revenue From Slot Machines Over 11% Higher This October in Pa.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today reported that slot machine gross revenue increased by 11.49% this October over the same month a year ago. The Board also announced an increase of 4.25% in its comparison of revenue figures for just the nine casinos operating in October 2010 that were also opened for the full month of October last year.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site the revenue figures for August table games play at the nine operating casinos.

Slot Machine Revenue In Pennsylvania Rises More Than 5% In August

The revenue generated by Pennsylvania’s nine casinos was 5.19% more in August 2010 compared to total revenue in August of last year. The Gaming Control Board reported today that slot machines produced gross revenue of $196,635,849 in August of this year and $108,121,631 in tax revenue.

Pennsylvania Slot Machine Revenue Rises 18% In July

Pennsylvania’s casinos generated a record $116 million in slot machine tax revenue during July of this year, a 17.81% increase compared to July, 2009. In figures released today by the Gaming Control Board, the Commonwealth received $116,079,631 in tax revenue, an average of $3.74 million per day. The casinos gross revenue was $211,053,874 from slot machine play.

Meadows Receives Approval for Full Table Games

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino today received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to open its full table games operation at 6 a.m. Thursday.  The Meadows will feature 68 table games with wagers as high as $10,000.  The Meadows also will provide 10-times odds for its craps games, the highest in the region and the state.

Pennsylvania Slot Machine Revenue Rises 8.2% In June

On the brink of adding table games, Pennsylvania’s nine operating casinos generated $98,222,005 in tax revenue from slot machine play during June of this year, an 8.17% increase compared to June, 2009. At the June 30th close of Pennsylvania’s 2009/10 fiscal year, tax revenue from slot machines totaled $1,190,592,416, an increase of 23.42% from the 2008/09 fiscal year in which tax collections were $964,701,535.

PA Gaming Control Board Announces Table Games Schedule

The Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today released a schedule for testing and implementation that will result in the first public availability of table game gambling in Commonwealth slots casinos as early as July 8th. Kevin O'Toole presented the schedule at today’s meeting of the Board and by letter to each casino that holds an approved table games certificate.

Pennsylvania Slot Machine Revenue Rises 13 Percent In May

The play of slot machines in Pennsylvania returned $12,391,146 more in tax revenue during May of this year compared to the same month in 2009, an increase of 12.63%. According to figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the nine slot machine facilities operating during May of this year collectively generated $200,944,627 in gross revenue, compared to $178,415,270 in May of 2009.

Harrah’s Chester Approved for Table Games

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved the petition of Chester Downs and Marina, LLC, operator of Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack, to conduct table games. The decision at the Board’s public meeting in Harrisburg brings to eight the total casinos that have gained table games approval.
