Jon Johnson Named GM of Empress Casino Hotel

Penn National Gaming, Inc. announced today that effective immediately, Jon Johnson, 56, has been named General Manager of Empress Casino Hotel, subject to regulatory approval. Johnson has served as the General Manager of Penn National’s Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway in Bangor, ME since its July 2008 opening.

Penn National Gaming Announces Agreement with the Cordish Company

Penn Hollywood Kansas, Inc, a subsidiary of Penn National Gaming, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement, with principals of The Cordish Company, the managing member of Kansas Entertainment, LLC, whereby Penn National has agreed to acquire Cordish’s 50% interest in Kansas Entertainment, LLC and their role as managing member.

Penn National Gaming Expands Scope and Budget of Proposed Hollywood Casino and Resort in Kansas

At a hearing this morning with the Kansas Lottery Commission, officials of Penn National Gaming, Inc. unveiled plans for a significantly expanded Hollywood-themed gaming and entertainment facility in Wyandotte County Kansas with a Phase 1 budget of $410 million and a $154 million Phase 2 expansion.
